Heritage Tour Guide Volunteer

A Heritage Tour Guide Volunteer supports the preservation and promotion of historical sites by delivering engaging, informative tours to visitors. This role involves sharing knowledge about the site’s history, cultural significance, and key features while ensuring visitors have a welcoming and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead guided tours for individuals and groups, adapting delivery to different audiences (families, schools, tourists).
  • Provide accurate and engaging information about the site’s history, architecture, and cultural importance.
  • Answer visitor questions and offer additional insights where appropriate.
  • Assist with visitor orientation, including directions and safety guidance.
  • Support events, exhibitions, and educational activities when required.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all visitors.
  • Follow health, safety, and safeguarding procedures.
